Chiara Montanari
, engineer, is an expert in innovation management, strategic leadership and team building in extreme environments. She has taken part in four research missions and was the first Italian to lead a mission to Antarctica. Most recently, in 2013, she managed logistics for the Concordia Base camp at 1200 km from the coast and 4000 metres of perceived altitude. She researches strategic development and scientific calculations at Politecnico in Milan. She is also collaborating with Università di Bergamo to study team building and the theory of complexity in managerial environments. In 2015 she published Cronache dai ghiacci. 90 giorni in Antartide (Mondadori Electa).
